Keeping Faith and Positiveness in your Heart, through Trials and Tribulations is hard at times, but it happens to all of us, in one way or another whether it be a serious health issue, or a change in a job, or a new relationship or any major change in your life. What and how do you keep yourself Centered?

Stream

I find that much like Gardening, or Reading or Writing, it helps your mood, if you put yourself out side in a another environment that is relaxing or enriching to you. I keep myself centered out in Nature and Yoga, it brings the beauty forth right into my soul, and with my eyes open, I capture the beauty around us. This is where I feel the strength, and it is just being on a Bike ride or working in my yard.

Life began in a Garden
Yesterday was a beautiful day and I enjoyed an 8 mile bike ride with the sun shining on me as though it was to give me power to ride, as the wind blew in my hair and my eyes caught a glimpse of Spring all around. I love this time of year, it is a renewal, a new cleansing energy that fills our planet and our environment of hope and love and flowers.

Bike ride

I got home from riding my bike and cut our back lawn and put compost in our garden starting to prepare the soil for the vegetables. Today, which was full of rain on and off, even today, we have to take the time to appreciate this as well, just like life if we don’t have the (storm) rain at times, we don’t appreciate the sun or the rainbow that comes afterwards. We all have our own struggles with things and hopefully within each moment of everyday you take the time to soak in the wonderful blessings and you will be able to let yourself be filled with Gratitude, and take the time to notice these Beautiful things in Nature.

Let the flora and fauna begin~!! ✿ I think we are all ready for the warmer spring like weather and the beautiful blossoms to come!  To be able to plant in our garden without the threat of a frost.  As we know in our mid-atlantic region we should wait til beginning of April to be sure of our planting outside. I still have my fall cold weather plants producing such as my Kale and Collards. In the meantime turn your soil add the composting to it and prepare it.

We had a long unpredictable Winter to say the least! It is still somewhat so when we have these Sun filled days, get out and enjoy this warmer weather, it is proven to be good for you psychologically and produces those nice endorphins to give you the sense of well being! Even if you are setting outside for a spell to let those warm healing rays kiss your skin for a bit.  Take a look around you and notice the sky and the clouds, the blossoms that are peeking out.  You will find that well being feeling also, when you are bicycling, working in your garden, or walking or just enjoying the Vitamin D as it soaks into your skin and taking in the beauty around us with gratitude.

It is nice to plant a meditation garden with all the types of flowers and plants you love, to give you a break from the day to go out to and relax and breath for a moment and enjoy. You can plan this in advance by picking an appropriate spot then lay out on paper where you would like the plants to go. I love picking the ones that attract butterflies and are native to our area.

We have such a cinema for the eyes if we take the time to enjoy the nature that surrounds us with the birds chirping and making their nests.  We love the beautiful blossoms beginning and the promise of a new day as Spring arrives!

All moments are beautiful, only you have to be receptive and surrendering. All moments are blessings, only you have to be capable of seeing. All moments are benedictions. If you accept with a deep gratitude♥~Osho~

Our spring usually arrives hopefully, by mid-March and if we are lucky to get some frequent sunny days it does give us the opportunity for an increasing range of gardening tasks. It’s time to get busy preparing garden beds, checking on our seeds we planted inside, and eventually planting smaller plants or seedlings outside when the weather is good for your zone district.

It is also time for cutting back winter shrubs and generally tidying up around the garden.  Hopefully you have continued to compost: http://www.seattle.gov/util/groups/public/@spu/@conservation/documents/webcontent/spu01_001989.pdf  and now is the time to turn this into the soil if it is ready and ripe.  We had some fire place ashe and it is good to save up, there are many uses that this can be used for in your garden and on your lawn as fertilizer but make sure you watch the amount, here is a nice article:  http://voices.yahoo.com/20-amazing-unusual-uses-fireplace-ash-10556107.html

Time to sharpen up your gardening tools if needed or your lawnmower blades in preparation of the upcoming season of cutting lawns and keeping beds manicured and trees trimmed.

I enjoyed a nice hour long Yoga Class and it was relaxing and puts you in a Peaceful place, much like Gardening, you can get lost in the dirt and flowers and plants. What is so rewarding is the wonderful vegetables you get from your intention and work. Mark your intention for the day and make it a great one.

Even a Volkwagon bus has a small gardening area, you can be creative if you live in an apartment or smaller place.
