Our spring usually arrives hopefully, by mid-March and if we are lucky to get some frequent sunny days it does give us the opportunity for an increasing range of gardening tasks. It’s time to get busy preparing garden beds, checking on our seeds we planted inside, and eventually planting smaller plants or seedlings outside when the weather is good for your zone district.
It is also time for cutting back winter shrubs and generally tidying up around the garden. Hopefully you have continued to compost: http://www.seattle.gov/util/groups/public/@spu/@conservation/documents/webcontent/spu01_001989.pdf and now is the time to turn this into the soil if it is ready and ripe. We had some fire place ashe and it is good to save up, there are many uses that this can be used for in your garden and on your lawn as fertilizer but make sure you watch the amount, here is a nice article: http://voices.yahoo.com/20-amazing-unusual-uses-fireplace-ash-10556107.html
Time to sharpen up your gardening tools if needed or your lawnmower blades in preparation of the upcoming season of cutting lawns and keeping beds manicured and trees trimmed.
I enjoyed a nice hour long Yoga Class and it was relaxing and puts you in a Peaceful place, much like Gardening, you can get lost in the dirt and flowers and plants. What is so rewarding is the wonderful vegetables you get from your intention and work. Mark your intention for the day and make it a great one.
Even a Volkwagon bus has a small gardening area, you can be creative if you live in an apartment or smaller place.
